Welcome to the help section for Salisbury Quakers. This is designed to solve any problems that arise when updating the content of the website. each section is linked to a particular section of the maintenace system and can be accessed by either scrolling down from here or by clicking the
on the relevant section.
In order to add a news item you will need to insert the information about it into the relevant boxes. The first box should be a short title for the news item. The next item is a large description and the last box is to select what type of news it is. The options are local, area, beyond and meeting house. If the news item is meant for the meeting house page then you will need to select 'Meeting House'. When you are satisfied that the information is correct then click 'Add News'.
You will first need to select the news item from the drop down list. Once you have the correct item click 'Continue' to edit.
You will be presented with the information that currently makes up the news item. All but the News ID can be editted. Once finished click 'Edit News' to save your changes.
You will need to select the news item that you wish to delete from the list. Click 'Delete' once you have selected the correct item, you will then be prompted again.
This section is editted in-line. This means that you need to write the information in the correct boxes so that it makes sense with the rest of the text as it will appear to the public exactly how it appears to you. When you are done click 'Update' to save the changes.
This page allows you to add an event to the diary. You firstly need to fill all of the boxes in with the information about the event. Once you are finished you need to click 'Add Event' to add it to the diary.
You will need to select the event that you want to edit from the list, click 'Edit' to continue. You will be presented with the current information about the event. When you have finished editting you will need to click 'Edit Event' to save the changes.
To delete an event from the diary you will need to select it from the list and then click 'Delete'.
You will firstly need to insert the information about the photo you wish to upload. When you have done that click 'Add Photo' to continue onto the upload facility.
To select the photo that you are uploading you will need to click where you are instructed. This will bring up a dialog box in which you find the photo from your computer. When the uploader says that the upload is complete it is then safe to click the link to upload another photo
This is a known problem with the upload facility. It only happens when the file that is being uploaded is very small. You will need to log out, check the photo gallery to see if the upload has actually completed. If it has not then please log in and try again. This problem is currently being worked upon and the bug should be fixed soon.
This page allows you to change the details about a photo that is already uploaded. To select which photo to edit you can just click on it. You can also narrow the selection down by using the option at the top. Once you have chosen your photo then you will be presented with the information about that photo. To save the changes that you have made click 'Edit Photo'.
To delete a photo you need to simply click on it, this will delete the photo from the server.
This page allows you to add a link. You firstly need to fill all of the boxes in with the information about the link. You can specify that link needs to be shown on either the normal Links page or on the Meeting House page under the Appeal section. Once you are finished you need to click 'Add Link' to add it.
You will need to select the link that you want to edit from the list, click 'Edit' to continue. You will be presented with the current information about the link. When you have finished editting you will need to click 'Edit Link' to save the changes.
To delete a link you will need to select it from the list and then click 'Delete'.
These tools can be used to keep track of what is being stored and who is updating it. The top section will tell you how many of each type of item is being stored.
The second section allows you to see who uploaded a specific item. Simply choose the item you wish to check and click 'Continue'. This will take you to a page which will tell you who has updated it.
This section allows you to change the details about your account. You will be prompted to enter your current password and then the new information that you wish to change.
This section allows you to retieve your password after passing the security checks.
